Birthday Celebrations - Being Adult

Celebrating one's birthday is a unique event that's meant to be shared with loved ones. Birthdays are just like seasons, most of them welcome with open arms, and others may take a little warming up to. But to mark a milestone, we should be doing something with favourite people in one room to reminisce about the past year and coming year. A typical birthday party for an adult consists of family and friends and usually involves a cake, birthday card, dinner, games, music and much more.
To be more specific in India, we expect Mid-Night calls, Surprises, Fun, Wine and many such things from our most loved and favourite peoples. This cannot be limited but endures the partnership and how strong the bonding is existing between people. A call, email, text, or a personal visit to greet them on this special day is almost required as an annual maintenance task of every individual in all the certainties of Family Bonding, Romantic Bonding and Platonic Bonding.

Diplomacy Linked with Birthday
Robert Frost once said, "A Diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman's birthday but never remembers her age!". In the same way, everyone expects wishes from people around them. This unique feeling cannot be described verbally. Though we may claim, we aren't interested in getting wishes or other sorts, there will be internal happiness unexpressed. If we are prominent in someone's life, definitely be it any situation, a wish with surprise would be there.

Removal of my Birthday
With tons and tons of Wishes I personally get every year, Facebook blocks my account, considering am a BOT while responding for the wishes. Last year I decided to remove my Birthday from Facebook so that the people who really wanted to wish me will be profoundly reminded of that day without any external reminders.

While I was writing this, I got the instance profound memories of the past. One of my Friend's father who was very seriously sick called me in 2017 on my birthday just to wish me from Australia.

Appointments Etiquette – Being Adult

With almost a month of long haul, I am glad to write again. Being a responsible adult is always an important task, and one of the most important ingredients of it is the “Appointments”. There is an etiquette for making and keeping very critical appointments, and most of us miss it.
Valuing Time: The value of time becomes more precious as we get busier in life, so when you schedule an appointment with anyone, you need to see it as a valuable commodity. Never intentionally waste that time or treat it without the respect it deserves. If you schedule an appointment, proper etiquette dictates that you keep it.
Scheduling: Before giving someone an appointment, it is worth enough to check the calendar/wife/husband/secretary or whoever will be a timekeeper for you. One of the rudest things is not turning up or honouring our words.
Busy Moments: We are all busy. Anyone who is not retired or unbelievably rich is busy, and even a lot of retired and remarkably rich people are busy too. If someone tells you how busy they are as a reason for cancelling, the implication is that others are jobless creatures and have nothing better to do than wait on the busiest people’s convenience.
Conflicts: Most adults know that conflicts may arise at the last minute, and they’ll do their best to reschedule you for a more convenient time. Call, apologise for the inconvenience and choose another time that works for both of you. If you are unsure of a specific time, don’t schedule because you don’t want to be known as a chronic schedule changer.
Communication: Communicate in the most intimate form as much as possible. If you speak over the phone and are connected in all the ways possible like WhatsApp, Text SMS, Facebook Messenger, through Personal Secretary, Telegram or many such IMs, dial them up and speak. Ensure that you give them an unequivocal apology along with the next possible date and time of the meeting. They wouldn’t eat you by making you as a layer in a sandwich.

Rescheduling: You also need to be the one who calls and changes the appointment. Always call to reschedule rather than rely on texting or email. The back and forth conversation can save time and hard feelings. This isn’t a time for lame excuses.
Confirmation: Many professionals call, email or text to confirm appointments. Reply as soon as you see it. If you can’t make the appointment, use that opportunity to change the time. Don’t think that ignoring it cancels you out. It is a demonstration of maturity and leadership.

"You have a Baby Boy" - Touching Accident Incident

Happening of accident in India has become too usual and common stuff. To coin in a different version, "It is as usual as charging a mobile phone". But only when it happens in our family or our associate, the pain comes up bulged.
After having a long trip to Thiruchengode, Coimbatore, Salem I was driving my car back to home all alone since the driver was given with some leave. And I love driving the car all alone or with highly confidante of mine. Whenever I have such an option, I never miss it.
And while driving alone or with driver I never stand on the accidents after the 2007 issue of helping an International Person on this affair. But all of a sudden yesterday while returning, crossing Villupuram (a locality in Tamil Nadu, India) late night saw some watery substance in the road and slowed my vehicle. At the dark after turning my car lamps from high to low beam, found two people on the road. As the blood was not clotted in the road, I learnt that the accident could have happened minutes before. Stopped my car and saw those guys who could be ranging from 20 - 30 years. Called to 108 (NAS - National Ambulance Service) and local police station. They said that they will be in few minutes as the Police Station was nearby.
Both the guys head was opened like a suitcase and their brain was on the road. As it was a dry dark area no one was even intending to stop-by to help. Ambulance and Police (only one PC) came at the same time. The distress is that in the ambulance there was only one driver and no doctor. Anyway, while I was getting down from my car itself, I identified it as SPOT DEAD. The PC and ambulance driver managed to carry one body into the Ambulance.
The guy who was sitting at the back had his hands around the abdomen of the person who drove the two wheeler!
The PC got some call on wireless and was unable to answer and he took the call over his mobile. The Ambulance driver requested me to help the other case. I thought like a Cinematic Hero and attempted to help him. He said to me that I will not be able to take food for next two days if I take the head part generally as it was open like something; he requested me to get hold the leg part. I took it too casual and got hold of both the legs. Suddenly the middle part of the human body went down and he shouted "Sir! Sir!". I gave a hand behind a spot under the lumbar. Oh my gosh, a part of his body the HIP and lower abdominal section was in my right hand connected with top and bottom only because of skin even which was bleeding. After few moments, made him into the ambulance and the Ambulance was about to be started. He had only one bucket of water and that was sufficient for me to wash only my hands.
By that time the PC came back and asked if both the bodies were taken OFF and advised him to go to Mundiyambakkam Government General Hospital. He took the ambulance and we found a mobile phone blinking in the accident spot. I went to take that, it was a Micromax Mobile and there was a call from "Jayanthi Sister" and we disconnected the call. There was a text message in the mobile,
You have a Baby Boy. Come to hospital soon!
Ofcourse he has now went to the hospital where his boy could have been delivered. I went on literally crying on seeing that text message. Even if that boy grows-up the society and community which he lives would define him that he killed his father during his birth and so on.
I am still unable to eat or even worried if it would digest after seeing this moment.
Finally, Be Careful always!

Andreas Guenter Lubitz - The Slider of GermanWings

The co-pilot responsible for the Germanwings plane crash was today named as Andreas Guenter Lubitz.
The 28-year-old was from Montabaur, a town in the district seat of the Westerwaldkreis in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany, according to a local flight club.
Acquaintances said he was in his late 20s and showed no signs of depression when they saw him last autumn.
His Facebook page lists his interests, including German electronica band Schiller, French superstar DJ David Guetta, his local Burger King, 10-pin bowling, aviation humor and a technical website about the A320 model of aircraft he flew into a mountainside.
Today, at the house believed to be his parents', the curtains were drawn and four police cars were parked outside.
"He was happy he had the job with Germanwings and he was doing well," said a member of a glider club, Peter Ruecker, who watched him learn to fly.
"He gave off a good feeling."
Ruecker said Lubitz had a girlfriend but did not have many more details about his life.

Lubitz had obtained his glider pilot's license as a teenager and was accepted as a Lufthansa pilot trainee after finishing a tough German college preparatory school, Mr Ruecker said.
He described Lubitz as a "rather quiet" but friendly young man.
Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin said the co-pilot "never said a word" in the 10 minutes before the crash, which killed 150 people.
He said he never answered a question or opened the door before the plane hit the ground and the plane's descent was "voluntary".

The Federal Aviation Administration praised Lubitz's skills and included him in the prestigious FAA Airmen Certification Database.
The database contains the names certified pilots who have "met or exceeded the high educational, licensing and medical standards established by the FAA".
Aviation Business Gazette announced the award in September 2013, writing: "Pilot certification standards have evolved over time in an attempt to reduce pilot errors that lead to fatal crashes.

"FAA pilot certification can be the difference between a safe flight and one that ends in tragedy.
The highest level of certification is the Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, which is required to fly a commercial airliner.
To obtain it, pilots must possess a commercial pilot license, have more than 1500 hours of experience in aircraft and be at least 21. They are also required to pass a physical examination.

Lubitz's medical was done in 2010 and was due to run out in June 2015. He had undertaken 630 hours of flight time in an A320, according to Germany's Bild.
Mr Brice said earlier that co-pilot Lubitz directed the plane into the ground but the passengers only realised what was happening "in the last moments".
"He took this action, for reasons we still don't know why," he said.
"We can only deduce he destroyed the plane. He voluntarily allowed the plane to lose altitude.
"I think the victims only realized at the last moment because on the recording you only hear the screams on the last moments."

Don't Beg for Appraisal - Corporate Ethics

I have saw many IT Pro and others working in Large Corporate, specifically Information Technology fighting with their Managers / Head / HR for appraisal, on-site and others.
Yes, that is good to know that you have a good fighting ability. You cannot expect Ruthlessness, callousness and arrogance at any point of time from your superiors. Writing something in Facebook Confessions page, Unanimous Blogs and others is no where going to hinder his development. Instead just think a back-scene, how badly it says the family background of yours.
The corporate managers are normally learnt professionals at-least a step ahead than you. They know what to be done and what not to be done. Fighting with them, reporting to the step senior authorities, intervening into his personal affairs, vandalizing him/her doesn't seems to be the activity a professional can do. If a company is not all considering your credibility within the organization, it is better to resign instead of disturbing the entire system.
When you wish to live like a American, you should adopt the entire eco-system.
